OTTA NEVER SEE

Following captivating List Picks 'Small Hours' and 'Near Enough A Woman', which featured on her debut EP After It All Blew Over, British-Finnish artist otta returns today with a lowkey explosive new cut 'Never See'. Straddling the sharpness of St Vincent's fuzzy guitar work and the industrial clattering of Portishead's 'Machine Gun', 'Never See' brings its abrasive elements into the realm of R&B-inspired pop. Layering up vocals in the track's intro/chorus refrain to create an almost choir-like effect, otta explains, "('Never See' is about) not being able to see the good that's around you and within you." otta's new EP songbook will be released on esteemed producer and Warp signing kwes' label BOKKLE on the 10th of July. -Holly Mullineaux
